Quantock Heather

Height: 14.2hh Date of Birth: 2002 Colour: Chestnut Tobiano Bought as a project for Sarah before she realised that 2 very young children would not allow her time for such a project (!) "Ella" has proved to be an absolute saint in all respects. She is a compact pony with surprisngly good paces given her unknown breeding. Both vet and farrier have commented on her exceptional manners which is always good to hear. She has a kind, pretty head and is unusually marked. She was unbacked when we bought her and she is now happily hacking out in walk, trot and canter. She is responsive and calm to ride, having proved unflappable in every 'scary' situation she has been put in, both on the ground and under saddle. She is a really lovely pony with much to offer. Ideally suited as either a calm hacking pony for someone who simply wants a straightforward hacking partner, or for a more competitive teenager or adult who wants to just have some fun in the pony club or riding club environment. A real bargain for someone with a couple of months to spare to get her out and about and busy seeing and doing things. I think if someone wants a fun, responsive ride with a really genuine and honest personality and is prepared to do a bit of basic schooling with her then they will be rewarded with a wonderful pony in a few weeks time. If I had the time I'd keep her for myself to have some fun on but I just don't have the time to do her justice. She has been regularly wormed, is passported and has front shoes on. She is currently being ridden out a couple of times a week and as her confidence and schooling improves her price will increase. Ella has been sold and will be going to live with her new owner Nicola in the Cotswolds in June |
